No there is not a button on the main base - I have the same problem and already looked for something this obvious on both the main & secondary bases. Removing the batteries and unplugging do not solve the problem either.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When someone calls messae says' not accepting calls' how do i turn this off

Does this happen on all inbound calls or just some?
If this is on all inbound calls...Sounds like Do not disturb is turned on. Most uniden's have a DND (do not disturb) mode. Try turning this off and see if that helps.
Using Do Not Disturb
  • The Do Not Disturb or DND feature turns off the audio ringers of the base and all handsets at the same time. It does not affect any of the visual ringers.
  • With the phone in standby, press and hold Do not Disturb on the base. The phone automatically turns on the answering system and shows Do Not Disturb in the display on all handsets.
  • To cancel, press Do not Disturb.
If this is not the issue, it may be turned on at the central office (your phone company) try using the DND activation/deactivation code of *64 from your phone.
If this is just on some inbound calls...Then it you may have anonymous call rejection turned on. That feature blocks calls from people that block their calling number when placing calls.

DISPLAY READS "DO NOT DISTURB"

Without knowing the model of your phone I can't give you a definite answer, but many Uniden base sets have a "do not disturb" button on them that toggles the do-not-disturb state.

You can start at
http://www.uniden.com/scat/cordlessphones_mnl
to get the manual for your specific phone.

Cannot get incoming calls on my Mitel 5212 IP phone. When my colleagues phone internally, they get the "NO DISTB" message.

Your phone is in Do-Not-Disturb. Press the blue superkey. Press No until you see DND or Do-Not Disturb and press yes... press Turn off.
on this phone, the * and # are the keys for yes and no.

My phone is set to Do Not Disturb and I do not know how it got put on however I do want to turn it off. How do I go about turning it off?

This is easy, press 400 to clear your Do Not Disturb, to put Do Not Disturb on press 401, keep your handset in the cradle. It probably happened because somebody forgot to dial 9 for an outside line and the start of the phone number they were dialling was '401*** etc. I have sent you a video relating to this, more are available relating to the Samsung phone systems which could help you with any issues that you have in the future ( or visit www.abbeytelecom.com for written docs)

Do not disturb is on and i dont know how to turn it off

For GE 6.0: There is a button on the base lower right corner  (NOT the phone), you need to press it once again to turn off Do Not Disturb

For GE 5.8 GHz:
1. Pick up the phone handset and dial *98.
2. Press 2 to disable Do Not Disturb.
3. Once you hear the confirmation that Do Not Disturb has been disabled, you may hang up the phone handset.

Can not get rid of "do no disturb"

Just a shot in the dark (as I'm not familiar with your particular phone), but have you removed the battery for a minute and re installed? The settings should revert to default, enabling the ringer again.
Good luck.

I don't know how to turn off the Do Not Disturb

According to the instructions, you only need to press the "do not disturb" button again.  The button is on the base (not the phone).
