Question about HP Computers & Internet
That's pretty hilarious, I'm guessing some kind of software on there is doing the job of making things quieter. Wackily written screensaver, power management or other tool.
If you really can't find it by checking your startup programs and controlpanels, you can unstall AnVir's handy tool and K.O. whatever startup program you can't identify (esp. since it lets you put them back, though you might want to make a bit of a checklist.) If you're not running an Antivirus, you might want to go get AVG Free antivirus and set that thing loose for a while. Maybe (if it's new) it's just the drivers for your particular laptop which you should search forums (and google or whatever) for fixes and updates on.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
