I am getting toner spots on the edges of the pages when printing on my Lexmark T634 machine

Two possibilities I can provide:

1. The fuser pressure roller is out of round and the noise is the flat spot hitting the hot roller on every rotation.


2. These printers have an envelope mode that activates a solenoid in the fuser when printing envelopes to force air out of an envelope.


If it makes the noise constantly then it is the fuser. If only as the page is exiting then it is the envelope mode.

Probably dropping from Magenta cartridge.Try replacing toner.

Push the menu button. The scroll down with the arrow button till you see reports, push select button. Scroll down to Network setup page and push select to print it out. On this page you will find its Mac adres

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridges that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Click print then go to printing preferences then click the tray you want to print then OK

When you remove the toner and drum unit out of the machine look inside where it was, look up inside that spot where the drum was and you will see a glass window that is about 3/8 of an inch deep and maybe 8 to 9 inches long, it is likely a film of toner is on that glass blocking the laser light from hitting the drum properly. Just use a dry lint free cloth and wipe that glass down and you should be good to go. Remember look up in the spot where the toner was it can be easy to miss it.

try replacing the toner cart. or toner leaked on the area below in which case you will need to blow it out.

I had the exact problem. It was caused by a defective photoconductor.

Depending on what colour the spots/marks are, the photoconductor for that toner cartridge needs to be changed.

start->control panel->printers and faxes->right click on lexmark E232->properties->advanced->printing defaults->print quality->draft->OK->OK.
