Question about Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens
I have had this camera for a little over a year and a few days ago this blue line in the left alf of the picstarted showing up in all of my pictures. It looks like something very bad, and very expensive to fix. Anyone have any ideas?
I see a blue line on the RIGHT side. this is an early indication of CCD failure.. hand it for repairs while it's on warranty

It may be a hair or other nuisance on your sensor. Hand it over to your local repair shop to find out.
You have a better chance of fixing it if it's a line of dead pixels than a scratch. In the mean time, quick fix in an image editor.
