Hello, I have a TAD 993 and it says M- Error as well. It was not working when I got it but was considering repairing. I may just strip it. what is that part you need? Or what do I need to be looking at to repair this one? I found only one referance to a "slip gear" that may be the problem. Any help would be great. Thanks

I found a TAD 993 in the trash and it had the same problem. I stripped it and found that the amplification is on its own board. You could make a basic amp box or Guitar amp. I making a Guitar amp with some anologe effects built in. Be carfull thos caps will hold a charge for a long time and can zap you enough to send you to the hospital.
