Hi there! Does anybody knows how to open, a 671R1P109J remote control for a DR-175 dvd recorder. It used to work, but now after some time unused does not. I tested the IR LED with my phone camera, it tilts just very dim and for a very short time, maybe 1/100 sec. after lot of intents. I suspect a false contact in some wire. Any other suggestion? If I could open it without braking the small locks, I could search for a false contact if any. Does anybody knows a link to a repair or maintain manual for the remote or the recorder?

when you take it apart i would recommend cleaning the rubber key pad base, the part that presses onto the circuit board contacts and cleaning the touch panels of the remote first with some alcohol, allow it to dry then put the circuit back in the base pop some batteries in it and lay the rubber keypad on top and try it, you would be amazed how many times that has fixed a remote for me when you take it apart i would recommend cleaning the rubber key pad base, the part that presses onto the circuit board contacts and cleaning the touch panels of the remote first with some alcohol, allow it to dry then put the circuit back in the base pop some batteries in it and lay the rubber keypad on top and try it, you would be amazed how many times that has fixed a remote for me
