Question about Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner, Red Berends Vacuum

Bissell 1697w Powersteamer

I have the Bissel 1697w from Walmart. It has been used a few times, but now the water solution does not spray. I turn it on and the brushes turn, but when I pull the trigger, no water. I took it apart but failed to see anything that looked wrong. Any ideas? I have the Bissell Proheat 2X. Same problem. water doesn't spray. I thought I had cleaned it when I put it away but after being stored it doesn't work.Does one have to take all the hoses, etc. apart and clean them after use?

I had the same problem, Bissell Customer support told me it is out of warrantee. I used it once, put it away in garage after cleaning it real good. took it out and would not spray water again.

I have a similar model and occasionally have problems with water/detergent flow. I find it is generally due to an airlock in the piping caused by forgetting to turn the deregent water control off before removing the detergent container. Follow the manual instructions. Turn the knob to off. Fill both containers. locate them carefully. Make sure filters in the water tank and in the flow meter are clear. Start machine with handle laid flat and knob turned to maximum flow.

Check any related mechanical and/or electrical parts, including switched, levers, buttons, valves and all water-ways. Make sure all electrical connections are clean, functioning with a multi-meter, and all pieces are NOT broken or malfunctioning and clean. replace any broken or malfunctioning parts that you can't clean or repair.

I have had my Bissel Powersteamer Pro (green) for a few years, but have never used it. I can't find my manual and I have no idea how to use it. Help!!

fill reservoir with water and solution. Then you can push release trigger and vacuum . Don't over fill and do not let stay in one place too long as it will soak area. It takes a feel to get used to.
