In replacing a GE SmartWater filter on my GE profile side by side refridge the water will not flow thru new filter, why??

first thing is to make sure it's installed in proper direction. Those have arrows or other marks to indicate inflow/outflow. Please check that first.

Water comes very slowly from Kent RO faucet and to fridge.

If it has only been one year, check the warranty. Who said that it needed to be replaced? Oftentimes, a repairman can adjust the pressure to increase the outflow without needing to replace the whole unit.

Water is not getting drained from the botom of the machine

Hi,

There are several possibilities as to why water isn't draining from your washer:

1. Blocked drain filter
The filter is usually at the bottom of the wash compartment. You didn't state which model of dishwasher you have, so please refer to your user manual for instructions for cleaning your filter. If you don't have a manual, please post back here with your dishwasher brand and model number for information on cleaning your filter and where to download a manual if one is available.

2. Blocked/kinked waste hose
Check the waste outflow hose at the back of the washer for any kinks or other damage. Also remove the hose where it attaches to your sink (or waste outlet) and check for any blockages both in the end of the hose and at the sink attachment. If there is a lot of dirt in the hose, it may be blocked somewhere further back.

3. Blocked waste disposal / sink trap / waste outflow
Make sure your sink is draining efficiently. Clean as necessary

4. Faulty waste pump
If all of the above check out, you may have a faulty pump. Please post back for further advice regarding this after completing the above checks.

Water is clogged in the bottm of the unit. how do I clear the drain?

Hi,

The drain filter is clearly visible at the bottom of the wash compartment but there are several possibilities as to why there is still water in the bottom of your washer:

1. Blocked drain filter
At the bottom of the wash compartment, there is a fine mesh grille and a plastic cylinder which protrudes from it. Grip the plastic cylinder, twist anti-clockwise and pull it upwards. To clean it, remove any debris from the cylinder, rinse then replace in reverse order of the above.

2. Blocked/kinked waste hose
Check the waste outflow hose at the back of the washer for any kinks or other damage. Also remove the hose where it attaches to your sink (or waste outlet) and check for any blockages.

3. Blocked waste disposal / sink trap / waste outflow
Make sure your sink is draining efficiently. Clean as necessary

4. Faulty waste pump
If all of the above check out, you may have a faulty pump. Please post back for further advice regarding this after completing the above checks.

How do you diagnose a bad washer pump vs a cloged line?

Amana ALW480DAW seems to be not completely draining. When I start a new load water in basket becomes dingy and smells. Washer smells when it has not been used for a couple of days. We have checked the outflow and inflow drain tubes found no problems. It seems to spin and agitate normally, it drains to a point and leaves water in it, not visible in the basket. When we blow on the outflow tube when it is done draining there is still water present, we can hear it bubble.

Not draining all the way

try unblocking the outflow pipes to the machine. The pump may be trying to pump the water out but the pipe might be blocked with debris i.e. hair/fluff etc... Look under the sink and you will see the outflow pipe attached to the sump (or u-bend) with a bowl or pot handy (because of excess water), take the pipe off of the sump and check for blockages. Then if you can check the u-bend too and see if this help.

Bosch washing m/c wf2000 pump not working

it may be as simple as a blocked pipe. Check the outlet under the sink it may be full of hair/fluff etc. If you can disconnect the outflow pipe from the u-bend under the sink, first check that the end of the outflow pipe is not blocked, then check the u-bend for blockages. If these are both clear then the pump itself may have a blockage. If you know how to get to the pump, then ask someone to help you take the outflow pipe away from the pump so you can check the pump and pipe for blockages. Be prepared for plenty of gushing water if you remove the pipe away from the pump, and have a pot or something ready under the sink for when you check the pipe at that end. I hope this helps.

Dishwasher - outflow tube

I am not sure why this post is in Bissell Wet/Dry Vac but...

Assuming you are talking about the dishwasher drain hose go to lowes, home depot or local hardware/appliance store.

They should sell different lengths of hose just unscrew the original hose and screw the other one.

hope that helps!
