LAMP BULB REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows the procedure for replacing the lamp bulb on the Ultralight X350. The X350 has wording on it advising the user to refer to owners manual. When I do, there is nada. I am concerned about opening it up since there is a warning saying the bulb is under pressure and may explode if not handled properly, etc. Would appreciate anyone that may know the procedure, i.e. get a blowtorch face mask for protection, etc. Best Regards - Ray

It's only under pressure when it's very hot. just wait for it to cool down (about 30 minutes), drop the elevator foot, remove the 3 screws, and remove the lamp. replace and reverse instructions.

remove the lamp door, remove the lamp (2 or 3 screws), replace with new lamp, replace door, reset lamp timer (menu-settings-reset lamp timer-yes).

I have a projector that is powering up but there is no light coming from the lens. I changed the bulb and still the same thing. When it powers up it sounds almost like a harddrive inside is skipping...

the colorwheel may be bad. if the colorwheel doesn't spin correctly, the lamp won't light. turn it on without the lamp in. look inside the lamp housing and see if the multi-colored glass disk (colorwheel) is spinning. if it isn't, or it's laboring, it needs replacing.

Infocus Lp240 Projector Will not power on NEW BULB. Red light Blinks on and off.

The owner's manual should have a troubleshooting chart that will indicate what the blinking lights mean. If the new bulb did not clear it, the problem may be the ballast (part that starts the bulb). Also, when you replaced the lamp, you should also reset the lamp timer. Some units will continue to indicate a lamp needing replacement until the counter is reset. The procedure for that should also be in the manual.

OK, found the solution on the net, you have to use the buttons on the projector instead of the remote to access the menu item.
