Hi, I have a kenmore dehumidifier that's 50 pints/24 hrs., that isn't collecting anything, but sounds like it runs fine. It's old. Model # 106.953501. Serial is QC2626992. I cleaned the coils in back, but can't find a filter to clean. I removed the pan, no filter! Unless I need to remove nuts and bolts to find it, I don't think there is one. Any advice? Thanks!
Sandy
Hello Sandy, On mine, the filter is in the front. Behind the grill. To remove it, you have to remove the bucket first. Then you can see two tabs sticking down that say "Filter Front". You can reach your fingers up & behind it, grab the lip, and pull straight down. For me it requires more force than expected. With the filter out, put the bucket back in and turn it on. Make sure that there is air blowing out the back to verify that the fan still works. I hope this helps. InSub.

- A photo of your unit would help. I don't think that it is of the same design as my own dehumidifier. It appears that yours was made by Whirlpool, according to this site: http://www.home-appliance-kitchen-aids.com/Kenmore-owner-manual.html Kenmore's website directs you to this site for a manual: http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/ Which is unable to find a manual for your model #. You may have to call Sears and order a new manual for the unit.

I am looking to purchase an everstar airconditioner/dehumidifier. I was looking to see the value if purchased brand new and if this is a good product. The asking price is $275.00 with 50 ft of hose to drain outside. Thank You for your help, Kristina

Soleus 40 pint dehumidifier... used for 3 years, stopped making water. Recently overfilled, auto shut off hadn't worked and water level overflowed. 2 days later can't get to make water. Tried all the settings. Within temperature range.. broken?
