If this problem just started on a network that was working try resetting (unpluging) the router and modem. Another option is to do a "repair"
I assume this is a wireless connection.
Open your wireless network connection and go to the support tab.
Here is where you can do a repair. This will reset your network adaptor.
Try this and it should solve the problem.
Try to ping some websites. You will get a reply if your connected e.g
Pinging yahoo.com [220.127.116.11] with 32 bytes of da
Reply from 18.104.22.168: bytes=32 time=898ms TTL=48
Reply from 22.214.171.124: bytes=32 time=826ms TTL=48
Reply from 126.96.36.199: bytes=32 time=592ms TTL=48
Reply from 188.8.131.52: bytes=32 time=870ms TTL=48
The above is an e.g if ya connected to.internet
If it does happens this way, you gotta check your computers firewall settings. Or best turn off all protections and try entering the website
Or maybe your computer has been configured with a proxy ip
Click IE -> Tools-> IE Options -> Connections Tab - > Click on lan settings at the bottom right ->
And see if where the tick is. By default its in the first radio button
Automatically Detect Settings
Configuratons may vary depending on ISP
If ya settings has been ticked to use a proxy server, untick it and try again.
Should be able to work.
Just hope for the best and if ya having the sme prob just post ya qns to FixYa. Pls rate if this solution helps or even tried to help ya abit :)
This is likely because out of the box, the firmware for this unit doesn't support WPA2 and even certain variants of WPA. I recommend: configure router for WEP or even open (i.e. unencrypted) connection, connect unit, go to setup/update firmware and let it update from network, power cycle, reconfigure your router for WPA or WPA2 security, attempt to reconnect unit to wifi. The updated firmware supports more formats and may allow your new router's config to work. You can also try doing the firmware update over the wired LAN port. Hope this helps.
What is the error you're getting from the XBox? Log into the console with no game in the tray and go to the network settings and try to detect the network connection.
Also, did you get that router from Vonage? Their support page for that router is HERE: http://www.vonage.com/help.php?article=1087&category=103&nav=3 and may be able to provide you with additional information.
wat do you mean connect to yahoo do you mean your email???????? why not ask yahoo for assistance. Dont sit there for 2.5 hours connecting to to a page/carrier/email/or the net get assistance from whom your connecting too.
