Question about RCA D61W20 61" Rear Projection Television
Started out only after a while. Could unplug for a few hours then it would take a while to come back. Now is instant as soon as the picture comes on. Seems to fluctuate with the picture. Sometimes pulses and screen seems to shrink on both sides.
From what you descirbe this is an idication of a faulty flyback. the flyback is a special high voltage transformer that generates high voltage for the picture tubes. when you replace this you ussally replace horizontal output transistor. THis repair usally run 125 to 300 at our shop.
