Propane adaptor kit for a Samsung dryer

I bought a Samsung gas dryer Lowes at a great price. The number is DV203AGW and it's a 7.0 cubic ft capacity. The salesman said that all I had to do was call Lowes to get the propane conversion kit and then have a
professional to install it. Sounded simple until I called the Lowes number and was told that they don't handle Samsung parts and that I would have to deal with Samsung directly. When I called them, I was told that they don't make a propane conversion kit. The best I could do was call Matag because they had "heard" that Matag part MAL 9000 AXX could be used with my dryer. The only problem was was that I, as an individual consumer, could not order it. It had to be ordered by a licensed installer. I called an appliance repairman and he said that he has been unable to find this part. I worry that even if he does, it might not work. I can't believe that Samsung would make a gas dryer and not have the proper adapter available for those of us who do not have access to natural gas. Do you know anything about this and how I might be able to get this dryer up and running? I'm ready to take it back to Lowes.

MAL9000AXX is a part that can be ordered there are a couple companies that stock it , Marcone Appliance parts, Reliable Parts, and Appliance parts depot too name a few it retails for about $22.00 try calling a local parts distributor if these names don't sound familiar, Maytag was making dryers for Samsung for quite awhile and that is the most common conversion kit, so I think you'll be fine if you get that kit, good luck.

I am trying to find out how many cu ft my Kenmore Elite HE 4 dryer is. It is no longer made & is not searchable on any sites. The model # is 85089400

7 cubic ft. capacity.
Measure the diameter of the tub using a measuring tape
  1. Divide the diameter by two to get the radius
  2. Measure the height of the tub in feet
  3. Multiply the square of the radius with the height of tub and pi (3.14). (square of radius x height x pi)
The result would be the capacity of dryer in cubic feet.

Gas converion

Since no model number was given, gas dryer conversion kits usually come with instructions. The usually require you to replace the burner orifice, and make an adjustment to the regulator already included with the dryer. In some cases speacial tools are required to perform the conversion. Need to change from LP to propane. How do I get access

Gas to Propane requires a Propane Certified technician. These technicians are provided by the company that provides Propane that they will be using.
You may need to get a Propane conversion kit, for technician from the Propane company to install.
You can certainly double check on this...Hope this helps.

Hello there. If the parts were saved, they can be reused. If not, contact your propane provider and tell them that you plan to convert back to natural gas. They will be able to get you the kit you need, and will possibly have a technician come out and install it for a fee.

Samsung dryer is not drying and its new

It ended up being a easy fix. Our old dryer was working fine and had been ran an hour before I hooked up the new Samsung dryer. Therefore I assumed when the new dryer did not work there had to be something wrong with it. There ended up being nothing wrong with it and it was my dryer vent. It was barley plugged which caused it to not heat up properly. I was told that the new dryers have a lot more sensors on them and its very sensitive about needing a clean vent to vent out the heat. My vent was not very dirty, but it had just enough build up of lent in it, it caused the dryer to not vent properly and it would keep shutting the flame off. Blew it out with my leaf blower and now it heats up and dry quick. I hope this helps
