Your new phones will not interact with a base station from another brand of phones. If you want to use one base station, you can buy single phones of the same model and brand and those will interact with the original base station.

Only stupids buy cordless phone from Canada. India uses ETSI DTMF standard for Caller ID which is not supported by any cordless phone sold in Canada. It is about time you trash your worthless instrument in the dumpster.
Yes. I have the same problem. same model. Same issue. I bought the phone around dec 2007. I did not give it to panasonic service center.
I have to buy new one and send it to India. This time only siemens or Uniden.
My friend he suggested me to go for american brands like uniden or Siemens. Similar 5.8 ghz technology, he did not have any problem so far.he is using it in india.
