Vista being a newer os, may not be compatable with you printer drivers, you may need to go to your printers website and download newer drivers. Make sure you save them to a new cd and label it my (printer type) driver so you have a new driver disk. Keep the old one in case you ditch vista and go back to xp. Alot of people are. Can't print from Vista Laptop

You need to go to printers and faxes.  Set up a new networked printer.  Take the drivers off of your vista machine, because by using those drivers, vista is thinking that the printer is physically hooked up tot hat computer.

5652 and Vista - duplex print not working

In Vista the default s the duplexer is "not installed". Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers, double-click on the Deskjet, Printers, Properties, Device Settings and set the duplexer to "Installed".

If the duplexer prints the back side upside down in Vista once it is enabled you can get a patch as described here.
