Question about GE Energy Star WCVH6260F Front Load Washer
The "Door Locked" message will not shut off.
I keep running through one cycle after another, but message will
not disappear and DOOR WILL NOT OPEN!!!
My clothes are held captive inside!!!!

My GE Energy Star Front Load Washer is reading 5.9 instead of 59 minutes and not washing clothes. We cleaned the filter and still no luck. Please help.

To release door lock remove access panel reach up and pull down a round release tab. door will open

We had the same problem on our GE GBVH: door lock light would go on and off, machine wouldn't run or would get to 1m left in cycle and quit, leaving door lock light on - but door was actually unlocked. Solution was to replace door lock mechanism (140$ part) and so far (1 week) seems to be working. Corrosion in old door mechanism makes me think water was getting in during cycle, especially since problem would usually occur right after the completion of a load of laundry. Before we replaced the part we also unplugged machine and left door open when not in use.
