Pkg says put in freezer to freeze but it has small holes which it came that way. Won't it get freezer burn or is that meant to be?

The holes will make contents more susceptible to freezer burn and drying out especially in self defrosting freezers. For max storage enclosed in thick, sealed bags.

GE side by side, GSS22UFMWW, water dispensor does not work, when I try it water leaks from the bottom of the frig. I can hear it pumping.

Turns out there is actually a small drain hole on the bottom of the freezer where condensation and such goes. Take out your bottom drawer/shelf and look in the back of the freezer.

Pulled out the bottom white tray that is under the wire shelving and at the back of the freezer is a small hole. Pour in a cap full of bleach and then 1 cup of boiling water. There can be condensation builds up and clogs the hole.

Water runs down back of freezer side and fills small tray on bottom of freezer side then refreezes and over flows onto floor past door seal freezer side also makes a surgeing sound at times

The defrost drain hole in the small tray is frozen over. Turn off the refrigerator. Remove the shelves and bins. Carefully break up the visible ice and dispose of it.
Use a hair dryer to defrost the drain hole. It will be a slow process. Be patient.

The fan is making too much noise

Hi. You didn't state which fan you are having issues with, so i will address both areas.

The condenser fan is located behind the refrigerator. It may be necessary to remove an access panel to reach it. This fan has a shroud, and if the fan blade becomes warped, it will rub against the shroud, causing noise. This fan blade is whole, and it can be removed and replaced if this is the case. Ok, the next problem spot will be the evaporator fan.

The evaporator fan is located at the back of the freezer. It may be necessary to remove obstructions such as the contents of the freezer, freezer shelves, ice maker and the rear inside panel of the freezer. The rear panel may be held in place by retainer clips or screws. Remove the screws or depress the retainer clips with a small screwdriver. Check the fan for warped blades. If the blades are warped or mis-aligned, replace it. This fan also is protected by a shroud as well, and it will make noise if the fan blade is damaged.

NOTE_ If the fan blades are not warped, and rubbing against the shrouds, this will indicate that the motor that rotate the affected fan is damaged. It must be replaced, in this case.

We are getting a small pool of water in the refrigerator, beneath the crispers. It pools toward the front, and we can't tell where it's coming from. Any suggestions?

The water is probably running down the back wall , due to a defrost drain clog . To stop this leak , you will need to remove the food and the ice maker from the freezer ( if equipped ) . Remove the rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , defrosting , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once water starts going thru the hole , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any unseen debris in the drain line . Then re-assemble the freezer section .

The water is overflowing from the freezer onto refrig shelf

Yes, let the unit thaw out, and replace that thin wire. it's called a drain heater, it simply keeps the water from freezing before it gets out the drain.

GE REFRIGERATOR SPILLS OUT WATER COLLECTED BELOW VEG. BINS, HEAVY CONDENSATION ON WALLS OF REFRIG. CANT FIND A DRAIN HOLE AT BASE OF FREEZER OR FRIG.

Remove the food from the freezer . Remove the rear freezer panel , inside the freezer . At the base in the rear , use a hair dryer and defrost (you'll see a drain hole possibly in the middle of the drain ) . Defrost drain hole until hot water can be poured and go thru the hole . I use a small hose to blow thru the drain hole to remove any debris which could have accumulated inside the drain line .

Water leaking from freezer

Check for a blocked defrost drain. Take the panel off at the back of the freezer section and find the small hole at the very bottom center below the cooling coils. Use hot (but not boiling) water and a turkey baster to flush it out until water runs through it. (it will go into the defrost drain pan, where it will evaporate)
This will prevent water from comming out the freezer door and leaking onto your floor and running down your copper pipe to the basement.

Bosch KGU31124 Freezer Not Working

I have the same freezer and get the same problems. Ice forms on the refrigeration fins beind the plastic shroud at the rear and completely blocks the airflow. The fan that moves cool air around does not work then and freezer temp goes up. Ice will often push the shroud forwards so that the door does not close properly. Warm moist air get in and just increases the ice problem.

I take the shroud and fan housing off the rear (4 screws and a wire to the fan) and defrost thoroughly using a hair dryer. You can then see when all the ice has gone..
