If you go into BIOS and see if it is showing the hard drive in there. If its not showing it then probably you got a faulty one and should contact fujitsu about the warranty. Good luck.

I want to enter BIOS setup of a fujitsu siemens scenic desktop

When your computer first starts up, almost immediately after you push the power button, a prompt on the lower portion of the screen (but not always lower, sometimes upper) will appear saying 'Press F2(for example) to enter BIOS, or SETUP.
You don't have very long to press the button, as the screen will change quickly, but the most common bios entry hotkeys are Del, F2, F10 or F12. Hope this helps.

HP dv6000, laptop will not start up, screen stays blank and the lights and fan turn off about every 20secs and it just keeps doing the same thing over and over again, sounds like its starting up then OFF,...

Hi civic-95-uk ,

Try performing power drain steps on thenotebook:

1) Remove the AC adapter and battery from the notebook.
2) Press the power button and hold it for a minute.
3) Reconnect the AC adapter, battery and try starting the computer.
Even if the issue is same then perform Hard drive self test from BIOS.

1. Turn on the notebook and press F10 immediately. Which will lead you to the BIOS setup screen.

2. Click on Diagnisis and choose hard drive self test. Perform both the short test and long test.

How do you turn on the wireless function on the esprimo v5535?

hai

According to the laptop's quick guide this is how you enable and disable your wireless:

Radio components: Wireless LAN/ Bluetooth/UMTS

The installation of a wireless LAN module not approved by Fujitsu
Siemens Computers GmbH voids the permits issued for this device
(see chapter "Technical data", Page 22).

Depending on the device variant, wireless LAN, Bluetooth and/or UMTS may be integrated in your notebook.

On delivery, WLAN components are switched on, Bluetooth components off.

Switching the radio components on and off
Start the WirelessSelector using the key combination Fn + F1 .
The WirelessSelector enables you to switch the radio components activated in
BIOS Setup on and off individually.

BUWlMuireTtlSeososthLAN
Press the key combination Fn + F1 to start the WirelessSelector.

The radio component indicator will be illuminated when one or more
radio components is switched on.

If you switch off the radio components, the Bluetooth module, UMTS and wireless LAN transmission unit (antenna) will also be switched off.

You can enable or disable the radio components individually.

BIOS Setup allows you to specify which radio components can be switched on
and off using the key combination Fn + F1 .

Only those components that have been activated in BIOS Setup can be switched on and off using the key combination Fn + F1 .
Conversely, components that are deactivated in BIOS setup cannot be controlled using the key combination.

You can also activate and deactivate the radio components individually in the BIOS Setup. You must have assigned the supervisor password in order for this function to be available.

Pay attention to the additional safety notes for devices with radio
components provided in the "Safety" manual.

Details on using Wireless LAN can be found in the online help system
included in the Wireless LAN software.

You can find more information on how to use Bluetooth on the CD you
received with your Bluetooth software.

Labtop will not start. A screen appears with three options; Diagnostic Screen, Boot Menu, and Bio Setup. it did not shutdown successfully and freezes.

Sounds like a problem with your hard disk drive either not functioning properly or not being seen by the system BIOS.

Have you reseated the hard drive?

Fujitsu Lifebook S Series. Screen shut down as normal while not active but failed to recover. Switching off / on screen stays black .. not a thing and no sound when switched on. bode5@optusnet.com.au

Hi there, try removing the battery from the back of it and also take out the RAM (if accessible). Leave it half an hour and then put the RAM and battey back in.

If this doesn't resolve the issue email me chris.best4@ntlworld.com

It may be a faulty switch.
