    you can read here

Use the ERD disk and repair the installation. Choose to replace all files, and then replace only the Hal.dll and Ntoskrnl.exe files.

If you can start another installation of Windows NT on the same computer, you can expand the correct Hal.dll and Ntoskrnl.exe files from the Windows NT CD-ROM. To do so, follow these steps:

    1.
Boot to the working version of Windows NT.

    2.
    Start a command prompt.

    3.
    Change to the CD-ROM drive.

    4.
Change to the appropriate folder on the CD-ROM (for example, I386 for Intel-based computers).

    5.
Type expand hal.dl_ \system32 where is the path of the non-functioning Windows NT folder.

    6.
    Type expand ntoskrnl.ex_ \system32.

    7.
Restart the computer into the other Windows NT installation.

Windows could not start becuase of error in the software. Please report this problem as : load needed DLLs for kernel. Please contact your support system to report this problem

You have a corrupt file or two in the boot sector.
Press F8 as it boots to enter Safe Mode.
Let safe mode run and then run CHKDSK/F. When it has found the errors close it down. Reboot the computer and cross your fingers that it has found or repaired the files.

Windows will not start, the error message is: Error in the software, load needed DLLs for Kernel

I really suspect this is a hardware problem -- such as a failed motherboard or ram -- but you might want to try reloading the operating system if you have a Windows CD with the current version.

in the xp setup, select repair when asked, not repair console, repair installation. repair installation comes after the repair console message, so just press enter to enter setup.
