Without more specifics it is difficult to tell what the problem is. I assume you are saying that the problem is you have no signal getting to your tv. If that is the case, first try another tv to see if it can see the signal. If the second tv does not see the signal then the problem is not the tv, it is the signal. You should look into replacing wiring or talking to your cable or satellite company about the signal loss.

WILL THIS TV ACCEPT THE NEW DIGITAL SIGNAL

Hello. All tv's accept the new signal. If you get your signal from satellite or cable, the box will make the signal compatible with your tv. IF you get your signal from an antenna, you may need a converter box, available from places like radio shack and staples.

Unstable signal on a SONY KDF-50E2000 08760591

Can you please explain what you mean by an unstable signal? Without details, the problem can be anything from a weak signal being presented to the tuner to a defective tuner to poor signal processing later on. Also, check the picture and sound using different inputs to the set. If hte problem is the same regardless of hte input signal, that tells us that the problem is in the video signal processing circuitry. Also, place a menu on the screen. Is the instability present with the menu display?

Thanks,
Dan

No signal and theres signal

sounds like you need a new tuner replaced or the ssb(small signal board) inspected. The tuner recieves the cable signal and converts it into an intermidiate signal which in turn the ssb processes into audio and video signal.

Weak signal or channel not available

Digital signal requires all connections to be snug.. double check them. Also if you have splitters in the line, make sure that they are rated for digital, good quality (you get what you pay for) and the mhz is rated for 2 gig or better... if probems persist, you can install a digital cable signal booster... Amazon sells a motorola model that will boost the signal 12x. Got one this week and works great...
Good luck on this, let me know how it goes..

Picture with signal applied is purple and distorted/choppy

The board you seek is the doubler (2HDW) module.. a lot of time reseating the board will solve the issue. If HD still works, this board is likely you problem. This board upconverts all non HD signals to hd to put onto the screen. IF HD doesn't work, you more likely need a signal board. This board has all the settings on it and is much more difficult to replace.

No signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the displayed message "No Signal" indicates just that, there is no intelligent signal being received. This could be through the Cable/RF/ANT INPUT or through any of the video/auxiliary inputs. This could however, be also interpreted as that the incoming signal is not compatible with the system or within its capability. Example would be an incoming video signal with a high resolution above and beyond that of the TV's.

Might you post back with the brand and model of the TV as well as the signal source that activates the "No Signal" error/message.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Tv picture

It seems to me that you are watchin an analog signal on a digital HD TV, the analog signal is has a standard resolution of 720x576 for NTSC (American Signal) and 720x480 for PAL (European Signal).

It could be worth to go contact your cable company, they can hook you up with a digital receiver which gives a better signal and might even have a HD Signal (this means it has a HD-Ready 1280x720 of Full HD 1920x1080 resolution).

If you really want to use your LCD TV on his max this is really worth considering
