You don't have to have internet explorer at all.
You can use one of many different browsers the most popular ones are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
http://www.google.com/chrome
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Both of these you can change your home page by either using the spanner on google chrome or tool options on firefox

We have an att.net account and the page was green. Somehow we can't get our homepage to come up . It goes to yaoo.com but that is not whaat we want. Can you help

AT&T is in partnership with yahoo so that's why you're getting a yahoo page. But if there's another site that you used to have as a homepage, just go to the address of the website that you want (say, for exampl, http://www.att.com/accounts/) then set it as your homepage:

For internet explorer, go to tools, then internet options, then click on use current, then click on apply and ok.

For mozilla firefox, go to tools, options, general tab, click on use current pages, then click on okay.

Let me know if you're using any other browser.

From start screen,we want i/explorer,but it keeps going to 'yahoo'. We don't want yahoo! Where are we going wrong?

  1. You need to change your Home Page. Decide what you want for a home page, e.x. google.com, msn.com, bing.com, pcrepairshop.org, etc.
  2. Open up your Start Menu, followed by opening your Control Panel.
  3. Find the Internet Option Control Panel and open it.
  4. Type in your desired home page in the Home Page box of the Internet Properties window.
  5. Click Apply and OK. Open a new instance of Internet Explorer to see your Home Page.

I wish to download internet explorer 8 on windows 7...help

According to Microsoft Answers page:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_other/is-there-a-way-to-download-internet-explorer-8/0b10cfdd-ba6e-41d2-a3c1-6c045cf7b860

Internet Explorer 8 is part of Windows 7 and can be re-activated using the steps indicated in that page. Try them to see if them can help you solve your problem

Microsoft had just released Internet Explorer 9, with some new features, like a minimalist look browser interface, download manager, add-on manager and allowing the use of video card GPUs to accelerate the image, video and audio processing when loading the web pages to make the loading process much faster. If you want to try it, you can download it from

I turned off my tool bar for Bing and now I can't get into yahoo.

Hi kuulei51
You don't need a toolbar to go to Yahoo.
Just type the Yahoo web address in the address bar as follows
www.yahoo.com OR
www.yahoo.com.au OR the appropriate address for other countries
Have a good day
