I have Coleman Presidential II electric Furnace with a above ground Coleman Heat Pump. We recently replaced the the motor and capacitor on the furnace (about 2 months ago). It has been working fine up until this morning. I can turn the fan on but the auto (sometimes) will come on for about 30 to 60 secs then shut off. If I turn it from Norm to Emergency Heat (on the themastat) the red LED stays on but nothing happens. We are in semi-remote area, very expensive just to have someone drive out here. Dave

w1 to red = Heat and fan on.
g to red = Fan on
y1 to red = Air conditioner on

Exactly like you said. Does that mean the thermastat is bad?

If it is the thermastat, do replace the part with the slider and merury in it, do you replace the whole thermastat including the part that the wires are attached to?

Thank you Walter, I was putting the thermastat back on and it momentarily came on. I wiggled it slightly and it would start. I turned it over and looked at it and saw how it made connection with these tabs on the back. Then I reformed the tab's to a 30 degree angles instead of 45 degree angles. It's been working great ever since.

If you jump from w1 to red the heat should come on.
If you jump from g to red the fan should come on.
If you jump from y1 to red the cooling should come on. Try this and let me know each step.

The slider thing you are talking about is the heat anticipator. If you moved this while the power was on, it is trashed. thats what is wrong. As for the other parts if you by the exact t-stat no you will not have to change the subbase. If you dont then yes, it will have to be changed too. Its not that hard I can help you do this if you need. let me know and a rating or testimonal would be great. let me know what you think.

Coleman Presidential II Furnace: No heat and blower motor is running constantly.

This could be due to either an open safety switch such as a rollout or high limit, or the relay could be welded inside the control board constantly sending 120 volts to the blower motor. A less common cause could be a bad thermostat which can be verified by removing the face plate. If the blower stops, then the thermostat will need to be replaced.

Coleman Presidential Furnace 6806A842 heat switch pops then cool air

Make sure all vents are open and filters are clean. Likely an air flow issue but possibly, though unlikely, both switches are bad.

My coleman furnace in my rv just quit blowing it stays lit but the blower doesnt work it is a coleman presidential

It could be a bad temp sensor that tells the fan to come on when the heater reaches a certain temperature or it could be a bad fan motor. Take a 12 volt jump start box and hook it directly to the fan motor to see if it will spin. If it does not the motor is bad and if it does you have to replace the temperature sensor in the heater.
