Question about Washing Machines
LE error message. Drum is free and rotates easily by hand. Machine produces two distinct sounds - hissing "sssss" (the drum does nothing) and a muted "angry bear" sound, about 20Hz "ghrrrrrrr" (the drum revolves).... then an error message appears.
The sears on-line does not provide ANY sensor for this machine.
I am in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Thanks for this post. My WD3274RHD suddenly developed the exact same problem with the same symptoms as mentioned! Replacing the hall sensor solved it. The part is also available at SearsPartsDirect.com, search for part number as 6501KW2001A.

Ntms reports: already fixed. Hall sensor identical with:

LG is a funny machine sometimes. Sometimes even their service manual does not show the parts you need.
In your case you have a motor (stator) problem.
! disconnect from power for 30 min and try again. Sometimes this resets the hall sensor.
According to service manual ( chapter 7)
• The connector in the LEAD WIRE ASSEMBLY is not connected to
the connnector of STATOR ASSEMBLY
Reconnect or repair the connector
• The hall sensor is out of order/defective.
Replace the STATOR ASSEMBLY
If this does not help take of your statot and see if the hall sensor can be clicked off. On the hall sensor is always noted the pat number. This you can try with sears. HERE is your service manual

Tips for a great answer:
May 11, 2014 | LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer
The LE error message means "locked motor error" which means the control is not seeing the motor running.
The problem can be caused by a broken wire or loose connection but the most likely cause of the problem is a bad hall sensor.
The sensor can be accessed by removing the rear panel and the rotor assembly. See the image below for help with this. Remember to unplug the washer first.
Make sure the rotor and drum rotate. Anything blocking the tub rotation might trigger an LE code.
