The belt is loose on the bottom

The belt came off and the rollers dont roll how can i fix it?

Here is the link to the detailed instructions for belt changing. When you take the brushroll out, make sure that the brushroll spins freely. If it doesn't it will burn up your belts and needs to be replaced. (brushrolls available also by using this link)

There are a number of reasons why your brush roller has stopped moving. General maintenance to your vacuum is crucial and will help it work at peak performance.

First things first lets focus on the brush roller. Unplug the vacuum and turn it on its side. Look for any noticeable clumps of debris or hair strands that may be caught in the brush roller. How to remove the belt


Most vaccumeing have 4 to 5 screws holding the bottom plate remove plate pull out roller . Slide it off the roller and motor replace with new belt by first slide belt around motor arm then roller pull roller into place then roll the roller 3-4 times to insure it's in the right spot. Replace bottom plate

The roller won't go around


If the roller doesn't run, make sure the AC power wires are all connected to the bottom roller section.
If that looks ok then look inside to see if the roller is loose or off the motor.

How can I get the brush roller to work


HI, it's Jim from Crucial Vacuum!

First things first, unplug your vacuum and turn it over. Check your brush roll for any large amount of debris. This usually comes in the form of carpet fibers, or hair strands wrapped around the brush roll. Try manually rotating the brush roll, this will help unclog any hidden debris.

Take off your vacuums bottom plate, this is usually held on by two screws on opposing sides of the bottom of your vacuum. Remove the brush roll and examine the belt to see if it is applying tension to the brush roll. If the belt is loose this would cause the brush roll to not work properly.

What's the quality of the bristles on the roll? If they look worn down, or loose then it's time to replace the brush roll itself.

HOW TO CHANGE A BELT


Hi there...You will need a Phillips screwdriver to get the bottom cover off.Remove the screws and then remove the bottom cover.Clean out any excess dirt in the general area of the roller bar and motor assembly area.Place one end of the belt over the steel shaft of the motor and then roll the other end of the belt on to the end of the roller bar.placing the belt on the top of the roller bar and roll the bar slowly and feed the belt onto the roller bar until it is completely in place.Replace the bottom cover and put all the screw back in.
Plug your vacuum in and turn it on with the roller bar off the floor, in other words let it run for 10 seconds until you put it on the carpet allowing the belt to position itself properly on the roller bar.

when you released the end to slide the new belt on it allows the tension roller to slide into the wrong position. Remove the top so that you can see the roller, at the left side of the roller mechanism there is a screw, loosen it enough to allow the roller to return to the correct position.

Installing a belt


1. Unplug the vacuum
2. Take the bottom cover over the brush off by removing the 3 screws
3. Switch the brush roll control lever to bare floor
4. Take the roller brush out
5. Put the belt around the small pulley from the motor
6. As you are putting the roller brush back in put the belt around the space on the roller brush - center the belt on that space - THE BELT WILL NOT BE TIGHT BUT THAT'S NORMAL
7. Reinstall the bottom cover with the 3 screws

THE BELT DOES NOT GO AROUND THE SILVER PULLEY CONNECTED TO THE BRUSH ROLL CONTROL LEVER
