Question about Epson TM U325D Matrix Printer
This is a POS impact printer with a 25 pin serial connection on the back. I have connected this printer using a 9 pin to 25 pin serial printer cable from Staples. The printer will do a self-test, but has not shown any indication that it is receiving data. I've tried commands from the cmd window and the printer does nothing. I'm wondering if there is another cable I need to be using. All of the dip switches inside seem to coordinate with the application. It states that it's a RS232 port on the printer. I've tested the COM1 on my PC and it is working, but the printer still does nothing.
Make sure you have the printer added in the printers window of the control panel. Epson Expert
suggests adding the printer as "generic". Mine is USB, so I have to run their COMUSB program.
Right now I am having a problem printing receipts. It seems the text is too wide for the line.
