Rotatry switch spins without effect on power or volume. Where might i obtain a replacement?
May be difficult unless you have some soldering skills, the double layered or stacked pot is 33.5 k ohm on each layer. One layer is the volume, the other layer is the tone control, it also has the spst off on switch attached. Matching this will be difficult, also the type of "arm" and the length are also have to be matched. If yu can find it or a suitable replacement, there is room to replace the part. Be sure the wires are put back correctly.
I was able to change the volume with a small screwdriver. Not easily though, once you get it to the correct volume turn if off by unplugging.

I have a Grundig Classic 960. I believe that someone turned the Power/Volume knob past the off position. The knob now turns, but has no effect on the volume, or power setting. I have noticed that the knob can be pulled out of the radio. Part of the metal shaft of the control comes right out with it. Apparently, the metal shaft on the control is made of a brittle material, and just sheered off. Can a new control be purchased, and be user replaced?
