The UPS will not stay on. When I plug it in, I hear click on the inside of the system. When I press the red button, it beeps, switches to the red button, then goes off. I tried unplugging it, plugging it in without attachment, holding the on button for several seconds etc. Nothing seems to work. Thanks. Steve

if your model has a mute/test button, please press this for 3 or 4 seconds to stop the beep. The beep usually indicates an approaching power shutdown of the device and allows you to save any files that are currently in use prior to this shutdown.

sounds like it is failing. When was the last time you tested its capacity? Test it to see how long the battery works. If it doesnt then get a new one or send it back where you got it.
1) Switch Off the UPS and unplug all Loads (like System, Monitor etc.) from UPS. 2) Switch Off the AC Power (Input Power to UPS). 3) Press the UPS Power Switch constantly unless you hear 2nd BEEP Tone. As soon as you are hearing 2nd BEEP Tone, Release the Power Switch. 4) This is COLD START of all APC UPS that will reset any internal problem. 5) If, however, the problem persists, contact APC.
