HI,
If what you say is right then the Issue is either with the Camare,or OS ,or software.

Camera?
To findout if it is the camera or not Try using it On another computer..(if you dont have it anyways you could see your Pictures but you are not able to send it so the camera is Fine.)
OS?
Now to its functionality with OS, check if that camera and its drivers installed are Compatible with the OS you have on your computer,..(older cameras have issues with Vista Products Vice versa)
Software:
If you want to find out wheather it is the Software or not Try using some other software Besides Skypes,
like Yahoo messenger for example and others...
If you Figure where the Problem is you should be able to fix it like If it is the Camera or the compatibility.. You can work on the Camera end to fix it.
Or else
if it is software, reinstalling the Skype or changing the software are alternative solutions...
Hope that help.
Just ask me if you need any more help.

Skype supports Logitech and Freetalk webcams. Any other webcams are iffy. I have the same problem with my Phillips webcam at work. But my logitech at home works great.

also make sure if the camera is skype compatible.

because most of the products are not compatible with skype.

even some products bought from skype itself are not compatible with their software.

so make these things cleared sir.

    thank you

  • dewan nafees ahmed Jul 30, 2008

    ok do as i say.

restart the system with camera plugged off from the PC.

now login the skype and then now plug in the camera.

and now start the camera from skype.

you can send you image now.

I have a compaq presario cq56 115dx and i dont know how to use the camera like on skype i want to make a video call and i cant

This model Compaq laptop does not have a built-in WEB cam.
You can check the specs from this WEB site.
http://www.cnet.com/laptops/compaq-presario-cq56-115dx/4507-3121_7-34498057.html

To use video call with Skype you need to purchase an USB WEBcam, connect the WEBcam into the Compaq laptop's USB port and install the WEBcam driver that came with the WEBcam.
Then configure Skype - select the WEBcam and mic.

My web cam pleomax pwc 4200 don't work with skype

Dear friend, if other side does not have a cam or does not put the cam on mode
for you then your not able to view them. Some time other side camera window will
open in your Skype but you can't see the image. May be you seen black screen or
green. It will happens for the few reason.
1. Slow internet connection,
2. wireless net connection,
3. if the other side camera open for other messenger , for exam Yahoo/msn & at the
same time she/he sending you a cam viewing invitation in Skype , that time you will
see those screens.
4. After log in go in Privacy then Calls & then open video settings.
7d387c6.jpg Now you set the Automatically receive video from mode & try after that to use.

Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

I have a toshiba l305-S5957 and can't find an internal mic for use with skype

While most laptops comes with a built in webcam and microphone, this particular model does not. If you don't see a web cam built in to the top of your screen, chances are you also won't find an internal microphone. You'll need to purchase additional accessories in order to use your laptop with Skype.

I can't see any video for my web cam, but it is working.

Test your webcam here by clicking "Allow" in the top window and see if your cam broadcasts in the left hand panel

http://www.testmycam.com/

Working OK ? read on.

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
Select your webcam as the default microphone. (If it has a built-in mic)
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
Select your webcam as the default.
Click Save.
Test WebCam by making a Skype test call.
