Question about Dell E152FP 15" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

None of the buttons seem to work except the menu one. The power and + and - buttons have no effect on anything. Otherwise display works fine.

DS240WB worked fine but seems now not recognizing signal and fails to turn on

The reason why your monitor might not be recognizing a signal is because the graphics card in your pc might not be correctly plugged into a pci slot or your internal graphics may have a short somewhere. If the monitor turns completely off after it cycles Then it might be an internal problem with the backlighting in your monitor screen

The monitor has a message osd lockout, which appears and cannot be removed. Depowering and disconnecting removes it but it reappears within hours. I assume the left of the three buttons at the front centre...

It seems as your screen has been locked, meaning that none of the buttons respond to your commands as you have experienced. You could try leaving the screen completely unplugged for a day. No power or video cables plugged in.

This problem can be solved by a HP LCD screen technician, take it to them. The mainboard may need to be reprogrammed or replaced. If it is under warranty take it back for support or phone a HP technician.
You may find it cheaper to purchase a new screen, as repairing this one may cost more than it's worth.

I am deeply sorry for this information.
All the best!

The menu screen appears witout me pushing buttons

The contact for the menu button may be stuck. It's at least five or six years old and may be on its last legs. If the menu button has shorted out, it may be more cost effective to replace it during Xmas sales. Check Amazon or Newegg.

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is stuck in - possibly the volume down button. If no buttons work, this could be the reason why. Just a guess. If they all feel OK, it may still be worth pulling the back off, (Without electricuting yourself -DISCONNECT POWER!) remove the PCB board that has the buttons on it, and see if it turns on without the menu. If so, check all buttons, rare but I have seen one that looked fine but with a multimeter it showed it wasnt working. If the screen still displays the menu, Id say there is a bigger problem... HTH

NO DISPLAY :(

the resolution setting may have been in inadvertently change to one that your monitor does not support you mentioned that you have another monitor that does work with your computer what i would do is to set the video resolution to the lowest possible setting and the turn off the computer and connect the questionable monitor to your computer and reboot if it does come up then you will be able to make changes and find an appropriate resolution for your monitor

No display on SyncMaster 710N

I used 2 resistor of 100 ohms (1/8W) to make one of 50 ohms. Like others instruction, just put the 50 ohms resistor between pins 5 and 6 of this chip and the problem is solved.

E173FP 17" LCD Monitor Problem

I have the same problem. It seems like a virus to me, but my anti-virus doesn't find anything. I went to the main menu on the moniter and changed the display time to five seconds and locked the OSD display. Now all the appears is a smaller box showing a lock which goes out in five seconds. It is still annoying, but less intrusive then before. Hopefully, some one will determine a permanent fix for this problem.

Won't turn off and cylces through colors

Hi. This evening, I had the exactly the same symptom. I found a way to fix it.

When you power up the screen, keep the power and auto buttons both pressed. That seems to reset the screen. After that when you open the menu, a small F appears on the left side of the contrast icon. Go to that red F with the arrows and press menu. Another menu will popup. Choose 'Burnin' and set it to off. That's all !

Note: do not try to change other settings, they depends of the harware...
