Try looking your camera up on the company web page. You should be able to find drivers there for it or information on how to get the drivers. Some company's even supply the drivers on the camera so when it is attached to the computer they will auto install

Many times the older version drivers will work as new released operating systems try to be backwards compatible with software. Try loading the XP software or search the Canon website for updated software for your model.

I need system restore disk

By this statement, I assume this to mean that you:
  1. Failed to make recovery disks as per the maintenance recommendations when you purchased the machine; or
  2. Made the disks are recommended, but have since lost or misplaced them; or
  3. got the machine second hand and never was given the recovery disks.
The good news is, you can order a restore CD/DVD from HP. The bad news is, that the only recovery option is Windows VISTA, which apparently is what the machine came with. If you need a newer version of Windows than VISTA, you are pretty much out of luck. You will need to purchase a new OS, or reload your OS with whatever media you have and perform a new, clean load. Once you get everything back the way you want it, either purchase a good system recovery software package, or use one of the alternatives on the freeware market. Just be advised that not all recovery software is created equal; some will only work if you can boot the system and then run them. The good ones provide a self-bootable disk to allow you to restore the disk to the image saved.

If VISTA is good enough for you, go to this link and under software option you'll see recovery disk.

I have a Photosmart M425 digital camera. When purchased, I downloaded the software to my computer. Since that time, my computer has crashed and been replaced. I cannot locate my software. Is there a...

Hi,

You can download the installation driver and software from manufacturer's support website by clicking this link

On the page which opens, select the operating system of your computer (Windows Xp/ Vista..) from the drop-down menu and click the "Next" button. Then download the required drivers and software.

The list of available software will load only after selecting the operating system of the computer.

Click on the "+" sign next to the list to expand the list and view details. To read the detailed installation instruction, click on "More info" link under each driver/software.

You can also order a replacement installation disk on the page which opens.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

Xp to vista Olympus software

Hi There,
Generally you can't copy software from machine to machine in this way even if the operating system is the same.
.
You will need to find the disk the software originally came on and run the install process again. If you can't find your disk you may be able to download the software from the camera manufactures web site.

Of course you can copy your pictures from machine to machine but the software itself will need to be installed.

Loading Software onto computer

Good news if you are a ME/2000/XP/Vista owner You do not actually need the software to up load images. Remove it- put the disk back in the box- forget you ever had one - and set the camera up to upload. Surprise - Windoze knows how to do it all by itself.
