Try re-entering the code.
If it has a O (letter O) try using a 0 (zero) or maybe and I (eye) for a 1 (one)
Also look closly to see if it may be a Q or an O or a lot of times the way print coums out a B looks like an 8 and vice versa
A lot of times the key codes come out wrong for a mistaken letter or number.

Ask for genuine microsoft software

Hello!

If you are being prompted both with a pop-up on your screen and a message on your task bar about your current Microsoft Windows not being genuine, it unfortunately means just that. If you purchased your PC new from a retailer I suggest contacting them and explain the problem you are having. They should give you a new one.

If you purchased this from a private seller, he may have sold you a PC with a "cracked" version of Windows. If that is the case you are likely to have trouble getting him/her to give you a valid key so you would have to purchase a copy of Windows for yourself. There are several deals for purchasing "OEM" versions of different versions of Windows at a cheaper price.

A victim of software counterfeiting

If you bought the computer from a computer-store, with Windows pre-installed, then contact Microsoft (1-800-R-U-LEGIT) and report the store for installing a "non-genuine" version of Windows onto your computer.

Otherwise, follow the on-screen instructions to "Get Genuine".
Have your credit-card ready, because you will need to purchase a valid license, and you will get a 25-character product-key that you can input into Windows.

Microsoft office home and student 2007 25 digit key

Hello,

When you buy a new computer, quite frequently it will come with a trial version of MS Office installed. To get the 25-digit product key, you would need to buy the full version from microsoft.com or in any software store.

As a free alternative: OpenOffice is a free application which is 100% compatible with all MS Office applications. You can download this for free from www.openoffice.org.

Thanks for using the FixYa forums!

Can not ger microsoft word to load it ask for product key and i got it and now it says it is invailad

True love,

Did you get Microsoft word/office installed with your PC? Or as a free download?

If so you likely have received what is called a "Trial" version. Which is only valid for a certain period of time. Once the time expires the want you to either pay for a permanent liscense or stop using the software.

If you believe you HAVE a permanent liscense, then you can contact Microsoft to clear things up and get an key to reactivate office. If it WAS a trial then you have 2 choices.

1.) Contact Microsoft to purchase a permanent liscense

2.) Get one of the "Free" office suites that are out there Suns "OpenOffice" seems to be one of the most popular of the free opensource office replacements and has just about every function that MS Office does.

Hope this helps you

To download Microsoft Office Word 2007,I entered the Product Key shown on the label adhered to computer's cover. but the computer did not respond, and a message reads:The key is incorrect, verify that...

I guess they were asking for the Office serial... Microsoft provides serials but for time-limited trial versions.Go to:
http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/product.aspx?sku=3203819&culture=en-US
and get one of those serials.
To get a non-limited version, you would have to buy Office online.
