Motor noise in 2006 Town & Country 3.8 l

Motor is noisy. Sounds like a value train, upper end at high idle. At higher speeds it sounds like lower end. Everything appears ok in the upper end. No metal in the pan. Have already replaced the timing chain. Any ideas?

Misfire cylinder 5 on a 2006 town & country 3.8. also rough idle, and driver side rattles at different speeds.

rough idle symptom of misfire --need to diagnose if plug wires/coil failing injector etc ---noise can be anything from debris to failing suspension part need to jack up and inspect

Knocking noise from top of motor on a, 06 town and country sounds like it's coming from the intake manifold, could it be an injector?

unlikely -- unless it is a diesel engine ( engine type not mentioned)
check for faulty hydraulic lifter or worn rocker bushes or shaft
have a compression test done to check for loose valve seat insert.

Why does heat-air fan only work on high

Can you tell that the fan is getting higher or lower? Or is there no response from the fan control until you get to the high position?

Vent fan only works when you set fan switch on high. Do I need to change the fan motor or the fan switch in the dash?

That sounds like the resistor has gone bad....These are usually under the hood....one the passenger's side bolted into the firewall...

2002 town & country blower motor will not

In order to achieve different speeds for the fan motor, there is a bank of resistors that reduce the voltage depending on what speed is selected. This is basicaly the same design for all cars on the road. The fail mode causes the full voltage to bypass the resistor bank so the fan runs at high speed (maybe even higher than your normal high setting). On most newer vehicles, including your '02 T&C, to help keep the resistors cool, they are mounted to a heatsink and then that assembly is mounted in a hole in the A/C ductwork just below or behind the glovebox. My '02 T&C has the 3 zone auto temp control and it had a fancier resistor block, but the function is the same. You should be able to get the cheaper one for <$25 at a parts store.

A constant churp while the engine is idling

sounds like an auxillary device like alternator, power steering pump, water pump, etc. check all your fluids. pay special attention to your alternator, i have heard this before and it ended up being an alternator
