with the phone hung up:
1) "Feature" then press "1"
2) then press "#", "*", "#"
3) lift the phone, then hang up
4) press "Speaker"
5) dial "700"
6) press "hold"
7) enter the name (I'm still trying to find out how to leave a space, or use aother character that the same number key has... ugh"

then make sure it saves it in the directory

With the handset on hook dial 700
dial your extension # and use the keypad to enter your name, just like a cell phone (you can space by using the pound key. Once the name is entered press "hold" to save and "speaker" to complete and save.

If you're using the master phone you can put in anyone's remotely. Otherwise it should work just for your own as well.
-Dial extension #
-Type in name in the same way you would text on an old phone. Use the # symbol if you need to enter another letter using the same key.

Dial 700 then put in the extension and add the name:) if there are two letters in a row that are on the same key, (examples: jiLL, shaNNON) just hit # and it will let you. If you need to put in a space for some reason hit ## (# twice). You're Welcome :)

Log into the system manager console via web browser and you can control and manage all the extensions / voice mails etc.

When I tried the above, I received an "ERROR" message.
If that's the case for you, you may need to follow these steps I finally figured out.
Press Feature, Hold, then dial # 0 *. If it shows "PROGRAM MODE" on your display, then these are the steps for you.
Press the 4th light up key along the top (one you normally push for a phone line). Will show "01/01:...". Type in 18. Will show "01/18:..." Should show the first name (usually the Admin's) and will flash at the first letter.
To delete the existing name press Hold. Then type in the name you want using the correct buttons. Push same button multiple times to change from 2-A-B-C etc. Will change from upper case to lower case. Cycle through to the correct one you want. To advance a letter (if using same button for two letters), press #, to go back a letter press *, to delete the current letter press Hold. Once the name is ready, push Transfer to save. Hope this saves someone else a lot of time and grief.

It all depends on what system you have. I believe the explanations are for an IPK 2. What if this person has the IPK 1. There is a totally different set of options on the IPK 1. Determine what type of system before asking the question.
