Same problem. I try to hit a button at the top of the screen and the touchscreen thinks I hit a button at the bottom. This happens 80% of the time. How do I fix this?

i hate this hunk of junk. the only solution i can think of is a new phone. no matter where i touch, the phone freaks out and acts like it is possessed. I can't really text or make calls ever. Gosh I miss buttons.

This phone is biggest peice of ****. I have always had an LG--i will never not buy an LG again. This Samsung phone sucks.

  • Anonymous Apr 25, 2009

Ive got the same problem. I was at work with my dad and he had a friend who had the Glyde. But wen I told him my touchscreen sucked he showed me a new calibration thing on the phone. Mine doesnt have that. Do any of u know how to get that?

  • Anonymous Apr 25, 2009

occasionally it actually works but most of the time regardless of where you click on the screen it thinks you clicked the bottom right. Some days i can just hover my hand over it, or do nothing at all and it pushes its own buttons. It is virtually impossible to dial on screen I have to use the numbers on the keyboard. The best, worst birthday present ever!

Some of the problem is the phone overheating. so try to keep the battery facing away from you in your pocket. also it helps to rip up a couple half inch pieces of paper and put then under the battery as insulation. one other thing that helps is blowing cool air on the screen before you use it. none of these are proven but they have worked for me pretty well.

I have the same phone and so far have had seven and this one has stopped working right. It is always a screen problem. Solution is to upgrade if you can.

Do this cel phone could work with GSM band? How can I unlocked the phone to made it works?

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

The Samsung Glide was marketed for Verizon (which is a CDMA Network). As such this phone doesn't have any GSM frequencies programmed in it. Therefore, it can never be flashed for GSM networks. It is, and always will be a CDMA phone.

I tried entering *228 but my phones send button is not working. its touchscreen it doesnt work. please help

why are you using this update? hopefully not for a repair? *228 is only for updating an internal list of towers so you remain on the VZW network instead of roaming.

U940 glide

Samsung has produced some defective phones.  I have had the same problem before. If your warentee is still active, you can bring your GLYDE into a VZW store and they will give you a new one for free. they will also transfer your contacts.
