Question about Miele Dishwashers
1. Unscrew air gap which is on the counter-top next to sink.
2. Unscrew drain clamp under the sink which s connected to the air gap.
3. Use a wire hanger to push down debris clogging the drain.
4. Screw clamp and air gap back in place.
5. The dishwasher should work. Routinely clean out air gap every half year.

Intake/drain light on and cycle stops (Miele G851 SC Plus Actions: Clean out the filter at bottom of machine, then disconect the drain hose at the sink drain pipe. Clean out any visible debris. Further if you wish, use a coat hanger, make a small circle on the end using needle nose pliers, and push this gently up the drain line from under the sink end of the hose. Be careful and gentle. If any debris comes out...You've found the problem . Reconnect everything. Now also under the drain plug under the sink piping and drain it also in a bucket. Turn water on and drain further water in to the bucket. Reconnect everything, put drain plug back in and run a new dishwasher cycle. Things should be back to normal. IF YOU DID NOTICE ANY DEBRIS THRU THESE ACTIONS, THAT WAS THE PROBLEM.
