What operating system? A lot of older operating systems can only create files 2GB. Most recorders require making an image on the hard drive before writing to the disc. If your drive is formatted in FAT32, try converting to NTFS. FAT32 has a lower file size limit where as NTFS has a larger file size limit.

Best of luck, Jim

Go to start button, control panel, uninstall programs under the programs catergory. Find the Roxio program you want to uninstall. Click on it and click uninstall at the top of the window. That will start the uninstall wizard. Follow the prompts to uninstall. You may need to restart your computer afterwards.

Not detecting a recorder in Roxio Creator 6 when I tried to burn a cd

Roxio 6 is fairly old software. What OS are you using it with? Do you have a new CD / DVD recorder? If so, there is a good chance it is not supported by the software. If you have a new drive, try getting the latest updates from Roxio. They are very hard to find so I include a link here

I have spent MANY hours developing a nice video. When I go to burn to an image file I get an error message: "Encoding Error 8004520c". I have tried many times. I have defragged. Updated video and...

Here You can find a free mpeg converter for any type of files. What kind of file do You have? If it's .avi, probably Roxio creator cannot burn it because it is too big, and if You nave the menus on Your future DVD, I'm sure the reason is the size. On Mac it's easy. With toast titanium, You can select an option fit-to-DVD, and the video fits on standard DVD. Probably, the default compression options in Roxio aren´t sufficient. Try to search in advanced options compression level, or, You can convert with the MPEG Streamclip the video to mpeg video, by selecting a different level of compression, and then You can offer this file to Roxio. Try this. If it not helps, drop me a message.

Shrill sound problem

If you have Roxio 9, remove it (and other copies of Roxio/Sonic) from the computer.

Remember: Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 2009 are NOT the same things!! Creator 9 is an old software application that Roxio does not support.

Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Suite

I have recent experience with youtube and roxio emc 10, you should try putting the video in videowave, go to the top toolbar and go all the way to the right, there you will see "output as" it looks like a old film for a projector. From there you can select your purpose, I use AVC and I never have problems with youtube. Now, you can select create video file, and upload from the upload section on youtube.

Hope it works,
some dude

Easy Media Creator 7.2

You may need service pack 2, but if you have; then the software may not be compatable with SP2 and may need you to visit the Roxio website for any patches or fixes. There are other programmes you can download for free from the internet to try instead, although, i would recommend Nero 6 or 7. Also ensure you have enough system memory as these programmes take up usage memory, then require more to manipulate and burn videos etc.
