Can't get toner out of machine to install new one...
Hi there! So... let me preface this by saying I've changed plenty of printer toners in my time... I suspect that I'm just being a moron or something, but for some reason I can't get the toner cartridge out of this Canon 3300IR. I've followed the screen directions - move latch, pull out toner, but the back end of the cartridge gets stuck and won't pull completely free. I've fiddled around with all the knobs and latches I can see, is there something I'm not doing? Thanks for your help!!

To change the toner on this machine you do not need to take the toner unit out of the machine completly. Toner is meant to be fed with that unit slided out of the machine. Be the case you need to take out that unit. Look below the unit and you should see a white plastic with one screw. remove screw and plastic. And the unit could be taken out easily after that.

Hi, this error shows when the corona wire is dirty, some times I clean the corona wire with a small screw driver pressing the corona wire down and slide the screw driver to the both sides also once you clean in the up I press from the side and slide the screwdriver after that with a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol slide from side to side, or replace the drum unit and reset, if you install a new toner, there is a mechanic control for reset the printer toner counter, this only works the first time that you install the cartridges, for example If you install the cartridge in 1 printer and then move to other printer the other printer keep the counter for the old cartridge, if you are sure that your cartridge is new you need to open a return the gears to is original position in order to install in another printer.
Oddly enough, I just had the same problem with "OEM" toner. The chip on the toner bottle was not working correctly. I installed another toner & the bottle was detected. The bottles that did not work I throw out. You may want to try to return the bottles that are not working correctly.... Good Luck
Are you using a new waste toner container or did you empty the one that was already in the machine?
The machine uses a sensor that looks at the container to determine if it is full of waste toner. If there is toner on the inside sides of the container were it looks for toner it will indicate that it needs to be replaced even if you have emptied the toner out.
It is a good practice to replace the waste toner container with a new one, that is the way the machine is meant to be used.
If you have correctly installed a new waste toner container and the message hasn't cleared you may have a faulty sensor.
It could be a clog in the toner tube, but the most likely (and easiest to fix) problem is the magenta DV unit. Replace the magenta DV unit, turn the machine off and back on, and if it still says add magenta toner open and close the toner cover so that it can load toner, then your problem should be gone.
Machine is still saying to exchange toner because toner is not feeding into the machine.
to supply the toner always do this,
1-insert the new toner bottle in the toner section and close the cover.
2-Press "Utility/Counter" Button.
3-click on "USER CHOICE" or "USER SETTING"
4-click on "Toner Supply"
5-Toner bottle will start moving and hence the error message will not appear again.
if the printer says toner not installed, then you have a dirty chip reader, remove pc drum and all toners, use pressure air to clean chip reader under the toner rack at right side and reinstall everything.
Your indication regarding the 100% does not necessarily indicate a damaged chip (sensor). Many chips do not work by actually sensing the toner but by usage or other tricks. We cannot be sure about what happened but replacing the drum and affected items should solve the problem. Needed parts may be found at
Turn the machine off then on and let the machine go through the process of adding toner again repeat this about ten times. Then it should have added toner by then. If not then the toner motor is faulty and not turning. To check this by putting a mark on the toner bottle shut the door and let the machine add toner after this open the door and check the mark for movement.
