Pioneer Laser jukebox error FP

This FP in the selections remaining screen means that the machine is on FREE PLAY and needs no money to be inserted.

The buttons do have a beep as they are being pressed. They should be registering on the display as you enter them.

Unless there are no CD's installed.
The pioneer laser juke will initialize (pull each and every CD one at a time) all the CD's when the power is turned on and the service switch is place back in the "run" position (usually operated by closing the lid) . All CD and track information is stored into the computers memory. The computer will NOT ALLOW you to select song that do not exists in its memory. It will also disallow a stored CD if it skips too often.

1) Make sure that the CD's are present and are actually being initialized.
2) If it fails to initialize the CD's when powered on, check to see if the service switch is broken or disables in some way. Operators did this to keep it from reading every CD, every time it was powered on. It also made it possible to play the the machine immediately after power on.
3) Bad players, These players have a habit of, well the laser lens fall s out.and they wont work. You often find them ratteling around in the bottom of the player
4) problems with connecting cables.

Hope this was helpful.

OMT Jukebox plays tracks continuously but will play selected track when ordered. Have turned off continous play button but it continues to play. Have programmed it not to play but it continues to play.

Perhaps someone has programmed the machine for "Play stimulator" (random play) or background music. The easiest way clear all f is to default the machine to factory settings. First, unplug the memory plug (red wire at bottom right side of selection and computer and turn off power to the machine for 10 minutes with the memory plug unplugged. After turning on power, the carousel will rotate to determine its capacity. After that the machine is ready for operation. Re-connect the memory plug. How do i reset the equalizer of pioneer car cd player?

  • 1Press the "Src/Off" button until the Pioneer CD player turns off.

  • 2

Press and hold the "Src/Off" button again until the clock displays in the unit screen. In some Pioneer units, hold the "Multi-Control" button until "Clock Set" appears in the display.

  • 3

Press the "F" (Function) button on the front of the CD player. In some units, press the "Multi-Control" button again to enter the setting mode.

  • 4

Touch the left or right arrow buttons, or "Multi-Control," to select the segment of the time you want to change (e.g., hour or minute).

  • 5

Tap the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys, or turn the "Multi-Control" button, to scroll through and select a number for that field. For example, if changing the hour to "2," scroll up or down until you get to the two. Use the right arrow to scroll over to the minute segment of the display. Use the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys to select the numbers that make up the appropriate number.

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

    1. Unplug unit

    2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

    3. Plug in unit.

    4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

    5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

    6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

    7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

    8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

    9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

    10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

    11. Replace the cover.

    12. Use a better quality disc.

I've just bought a used changer, that shows the same error. The instuction says " unplug the changer from its outlet, replug it in an turn the changer ON again"
That doesn't help in my case.
    Have you found a solution?

    Nsm cd wont play

I can't guarantee to solve this but hopefully I can give you some pointers.

ER 61 can point to 1 of 4 possible errors:

    1. CD is not recognised
    2. No CD in the player
    3. CD defective
    4. Player defective

When you loaded the CDs did you record the titles into the title memory? If not it is worth running this function first. For sake of time just run this for one disc first to see it is works.

If it still fails then try a different CD. Load the disc detail into memory again first tho.

If you have success with that then run the function for all discs.

Unfortunately if it still fails I think you will need to get a professional to give the player the once over.

    Hope this helps.

Bose multi cd changer wont work, reads "Disc error"

I think there may be a problem with the system (defective parts) - I, too, am having this issue. I am going to contact the BBB - maybe if enough of us complain we will get a recall. To file a complaint:
