This is going to be either a memory problem or a motherboard component problem. Start by removing the memory, then trying them one at a time in each slot. If your other machine has the same memory then try that memory in the nonworking machine. If it does the same, after the memory test, then you have a motherboard component failure, these are difficult to run down and you will need to have it professionally diagnosed.

I am on auto refill and my magicJack quit working I use for my fax machine and do not get any dial tone. I have tried unplugging etc and still does not work, What is wrong?

Is your Magic Jack plugged into AC wall current with a Power Adapter?
If so, try powering the MJ directly off a USB port on a computer.
The MJ power adapter is prone to failure. On the MJ plus, there is a blue power light in the shape of a cross near the word "plus". That light should be illuminated when plugged into a USB port or a power adapter. If the light is out when using the power adapter, then the power adapter is dead. If the light is out either way, then the MJ is probably dead.

Hp pavalion dv6550 runs on charged battery but not on adapter and does not charge the battery either. When the AC adapter is connected the blue light comes up so I'm assuming it is powered and con

Try another cord/charger with the EXACT same power specs as the original. Has the AC jack in the laptop been damaged, loose connection, due to pulling on the cord while plugged in? Try to wiggle it when plugged in to see if there is any connection. The AC jack may need replacing, if your lucky.

Laptop battery is not charging

Hi, this information represents a basic troubleshooting guideline. Refer to your user guide for specific charging and connection instructions. Manuals may be available online in the Support Web site of HP.

Remove the battery from the computer.
Confirm the battery contacts are free of any foreign material that may prevent charging.
Reinsert the battery into the computer.
Verify that the AC adapter cord is properly connected and plugged directly into a known working AC power outlet.

NOTE: If the battery charges correctly when the AC adapter is plugged directly into an AC power outlet, but not when plugged into a power strip or surge protector, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the computer battery or AC adapter.

Verify the correct AC adapter is being used.
Ensure the AC adapter box power light is on. This will be an illuminated green light.
If the AC adapter power light is not on, the AC adapter and power cord will need to be replaced.
Verify the charging indicator is illuminated on the computer.
If the issue still exists, install a different compatible HP battery, if available.

NOTE: If a replacement battery charges and operates correctly, the problem is with the first battery.

If neither the original nor a replacement battery charges, service may be required for the computer.

My hp pavillion was no power, please give an advise.

There could be a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
To verify this, unplug your laptop & try to run it on battery only. Watch out how long it will stay on (if at all). If it didn't work on battery alone, or worked but for a very short time, then your battery is defective.

I have a HP dv7 laptop it does not work with the ac adapter but worked with the battery, whenever it is working with the battery and the ac adapter is connected it shuts down.

Remove the battery and plug the ac adaptor in check wethere the light on the port where you connect the ac adaptor glows or not, if no then check the wethere the ac adaptor is getting warm or not after you plug it in for few minutes if not then ac adaptor has to be replaced.
If the light on the port is glowing then it is likely that the power supply of the notebook has gone bad as it is not able to switch to ac adaptor or the port where you connect the ac adaptor to the notebook has a short circut when the acadaptor pin is connected , better try with a different ac adaptor to be sure wethere the issue is with ac adaptor or the notebook.
My best wishes

light from the ac power adapter or the light from the battery?

if ac power adapter you are referring to try a diff power wall socket if ac power adapter still off then replace ac power adapter alone.

if battery light is off but the laptop works fine with ac adapter alone try updating the laptop BIOS.

if ac adapter light turns off when it plug to the laptop replace motherboard.

Strange ac cord/power issues

Hello my friend, Try to check your battery if the is it working normal cause sometimes the battery itself has the problem its either lost contact or the battery is not charging or not normal. also try to see if the the the sensor or that links the battery to the software which is responsible to the update of charging energy is functioning normal but this is a rare possibility try to focus on the battery or the connector or power cord.
Hope this will able to help solve you problem. If you need more assistance just reply to this post. Thank you
