Memory card problems

The problem is that everytime I try to upload photos onto a computer, or even look at them for that matter, the only option in the card's folder is dcim.exe, and flashy.exe. Why are my only options execution files, and why is my computer (or any computer) not recognizing the photo and video files that are definately on it?
any help would be appreciated. When I insert my SD card on my computer it opens an empty folder. Icant see my stored pics on the computer but I can view them thru thecamera. I had deleted a virus called DCIM.exe once. after that my SDcard wont display files on the computer. I did not receive any errornotifications from the computer, and the device manager says everythingworks fine.

I would like to reformat the SD card but I need to do backup first, I can't do that since I cant even view the files.


I followed this advice regarding the DCIM.exe virus.." The folder with the photos is simply hidden. To see this folder againgoto My Computer, Extra, Folder options, Display, display hidden filesand folders, Ok. And there they are again!"

But it doesn't work. Im using Vista.

How can I resolve this problem? Please help.
