Question about Sony VAIO VGC-RC110G (VGCR110G) PC Desktop

ATI Video Card

I am having a problem where my screen pulls up a different screen saying there is a problem with my ATI card. (running infinite loops) I can not get in my computer any more, not even safe mode. I have never put anything in the computer it did not come with. I do run high 3D games though, what can I do to fix this? Or is it even a problem with my video card?

Ati2dvag infinite loop how do I fix this

This seems to be a problem with the video card driver as ati2dvag is a part of it. What you could do is go into safe mode. Insert the drivers disc for your video. Reinstall the driver for your video card.

To go to safe mode just restart the computer and continuously pres f8 until you see the advanced options menu then press the arrow keys to highlight safe mode. Then press enter.

if the new graphics card was installed by a authorised technician, Dell is obligated to help you out even though the computer is out of warranty, the graphics adapter isn't. if Dell does not respond to your requests, you should file complaint with their customer support department.

I received the following message on my graphic card ati radeon 200m series: there is an infinite loop on the file ati2dvag. And the errors numbers was: *** stop: 0X000000EA (0X847ACA 20, 0X0X84898F60,...

You should go to ATI's website, look up the video card you have, and download the newest software drivers for it. Video drivers can often cause blue screens and system errors when using an old version of the software.

Go to this website:
http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

When you get there, in the upper right hand corner there's a download section for software drivers. If you follow the menu, it will allow you to download the newest software for your video card. Good luck!

I have been having a problem lately with my desktop pc,windows xp

Try running the system in VGA mode.
I assume this is a windows machine.
So hit f8 just before the loading Windows screen comes up. and choose Safe mode .
Then set your video card properties to VGA and reboot, that should get you back into windows.
once in, reload your video card drivers.
All should be good...

Need new card, system requirements confusing

Radeon X800 XL is a PCI-E (PCI-Express) card, you can replace it with any current ATI or nVidia video card that uses the PCI-E slot. Since you already have a PCI-E card before, I would bet you already meet most of the system requirements.
