Question about Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse
My mouse would not work (no light) and I fixed the problem be depressing the little tab located on the bottom of the mouse. On the inside left side of the bottom of the mouse where the USB connector rests is a thin tab that turns off the mouse when the USB connector is in place. Try depressing this a few times. My tab had a tendency to stick.

I think that you are right, please check the manufacturing date of the mouse if one year has been passed that means it is ture.please also try to check your mouse after changing all the batteries of your wireless mouse.
