Need wireless password

Best bet is to reset the router and start over. Since you did not list a brand and model, I can not tell you how to reinstall it once you have reset it. The reset button is on the back of the router (normally). You may need a paper clip to push it in. With the power on, push the reset button in, some routers will need you to do this for 30 seconds to accept he reset. Let the lights cycle, and now the router is back to original factory settings.

I have a buffalo air staition g54 and need to change the password how do i do this thanks

Routers have a reset button on them just for such an issue. Remember when you use this button the router will be reset back to factory settings. Look on the back of the router, you should see a little hole with the word reset above it. With the router pluged in, press this reset button (you may need a paper clip to get in the hole). When you release this button, the router should look like it has been powered cycled. At this point the router is reset to factory. You will need to set everything up on it, just like you did the first time you took it out of the box.

I forgot my login name and password. How can I reset and start over?

Hey there,
Check this diagram of the back of your router:
The small button that's labelled as "1" on the diagram is the reset button. It's quite small, so you'll need to use the tip of a paperclip or ballpoint pen. It's designed to be small so you dont hit it by accident :)
Push down and hold on the button for 5 seconds, and release.
Allow your router to reset and turn back fully back on.
It has now been fully restored to factory defaults, and you can start over.
Hope this helped you out! Feel free to rate me if I did help you :)

My brother accidently reset my belkin router and now i am having trouble connecting to the internet....ive tried unplugging everythin and plugging it back in but have had no luck

You will need to reconfigure the router.
Once you reset the router, it will come back to the factory default settings. Now you can reinstall the router.
You can do it manually without the CD also.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Use the reset button on the back panel of the router. You will need a pen or toothpick to press the reset button. Once you reset the router, then configure the router as if new.

I need to find my wep key for my wireless router. It is a Linsky and I tried ''admin'' but that doesn't work. I need it for my daughter to use her dgamer on her Nintendo DS.

You can reset the wireless router simply by pressing the little button in the back of the router for 15 seconds (using a pen or needle). This will reset the entire router back to default where the "admin" username and blank password will work. To reinstall, just go to Linksys website and download the software for your brand. It will walk you thru easy setup and will take you approximately 5 minutes to reinstall.

Can't connect to router

Try hitting the reset on the back of the router. Normally need a pen to hit and hold down the little button. Although if everything is working whats the point? If you previously had setup your router and have a password on it might be blocking access to the assistant setup.

Lost wireless connection

if the power light is blinking, a little bad news because the router is now showing a sign of defectivity, a firmware upgrade could be a solution.

you may try to reset it this way:

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, once you reach the 25th seconds, unplug the power then put it back in right on the 30 second, then release the reset button, wait for another 20 seconds then unplug the power from the router, after around 5-10 seconds plug it back in.
