Since I loaded Sims 3 Late Night, my computer will go black, become unresponsive, with varying time intervals. I bought the Dell Inspiron N4010 only in November, so it is pretty new. 2 GHZ, dual core, 4 G ram, and running Windows 7. I uninstalled Late Night and reloaded it, and that helped for a while, but the problem is back. What do I do?

Try updating your graphics card drivers by searching for them on the internet. Also, your computer may not meet the specific requirements to run the game and you may not be able to run it.

You can connect to internet and follow the procedure

go to --- my computer > right click on it > go to properties > device manager > click on the computer name shown in device manager screen >click scan for hardware changes > then the driver will install automatically .
Boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot. Right click My Computer and Manage. Check for hidden devices ubder View and delete all CD drives. Reboot and Windows will auto install.
You have a bigger problem if it fails to install and work. Then I would try re-seating the drive physically. GL
buy a coolpad .its cheap and have 2 or 3 fans in it some have even 4 fans and it is very easy to attach with laptop through usb port just like a pendrive. buy it . coolpad will prevent ur laptop from over heating.
Go to google and type in "dell support" (without the quotes) in the search box. Look for drivers and downloads and click the link. Input your computer's model (inspiron n4010) and the operating system. You'll see all the drivers including the ones that pertain to flashing the bios. Download and install it.
This is most likely because Sims 3 comes on a DVD, not a CD and your dell computers only have CD drives in them and not DVD drives so they cannot read the Sims DVD.
I would try using what they call a cool mat. It sits under your computer and plugs into your computer per USB. It helps keep the computer cool. They cost like 25 dollars.
