Express messenger number of rings

This is a "Class Of Service" function. The out-ot-box default setting is generally 3 rings. However, different extensions can be set to each forward to VM after differing number of rings, but each phone will need to be assigned its own specific Class Of Service and the Call forward timers defined accordingly in those classes of service. Normally your system manager will define several classes of service with different forward-no-answer timers then assign those COS to people who request specific call forward timing. The default is usually 3 rings. Hope this helps

Power seat

Most Fordicon1.png products are designed so the seat belt latch by the center console moves with the seat. The bottom of the latch rides on the seat rail, and with time sometimes it builds up a little play on the rail. As the seat moves forward or back, the seat belt guide often tilts forward or back, just a bit, on the rail, and gets stuck. So you can move forward or back just a bit, but then it jams and you can hear the motor, but can go no further.

The long term fix is to remove the seat, disassemble the seat belt guide and rail, and usually replace some parts.

But the short term solution is often to simply hold on to the seat belt latch and rock it forward and away from the seat as you try to go forward or back. Or, sometimes it works besticon1.png to rock it backwards and away from the seat as you try to move forward or back. It all depends on which way it is binding.

There's no guarantee that it won't jam again if you move it all the way back or forward, but once you find the right position to hold the seat latch in while moving the seat, you should be able to re-adjust it where you need it to be.

Driver's side power seat won't move back but will move forward, up and down

If this is a 1994+ Ford, it might be that the seat belt latch is the problem. Most Ford products are designed so the seat belt latch by the center console moves with the seat. The bottom of the latch rides on the seat rail, and with time sometimes it builds up a little play on the rail. But the short term solution is often to simply hold on to the seat belt latch and rock it forward and away from the seat as you try to go forward or back. Or, sometimes it works best to rock it backwards and away from the seat as you try to move forward or back. It all depends on which way it is binding.

Canceling call forwarding from one extention to another

On the extension that is forwarding use Feature #4 to cancel the call forwarding unless it is programmed under the capabilities section in programming. This will require someone with programming ability to make the forwarding change back to the voice mail access number.

My message button is flashing on my Toshiba DKT2020SD phone, telling me i have a message. When i press the Msg button, it it calls another phone extention in another office and i hear that it is on speaker...

This is what I wrote up for our inhouse manual on telephone administration for this phone:

Problem: An employee pushes the Message button to receive a message but it calls someone else's desk. This is caused by whichever extension the phone forwards to when pushing the Message light. For example: if the person at 333 pushes their blinking message light and it forwards to 316 that means that the person at 316 most likely tried to call 333, got a busy signal and accidentally pushed the Message button before hanging up thus setting 333 to call forward to their extension when they got off the phone.

All phones on our system should have this feature turned off, but if it happens this is the two step process to resolve the issue:

Solution: First, push the Message button to figure out which extension it is forwarding to. Take note of the extension and hang up. With the hand set NOT picked up, dial #409 and Release. You may have to do this multiple times to clear the call forwarding because it needs to be done for each incidence that the person accidentally set up call forward. Finally, in the management software go to Station > Station Assignments. Select the extension # that the Message button was forwarding to (the one you noted above). Under the Basic tab at #41 Active Message Waiting select Disable. Select Submit.

Forwarding calls between extensions

Yes, press Feature 4, then enter the extension of the line you wish to forward the ring to. You can also go into the phone configuration to forward after a set # of rings. To ring another extension at set times you will need admin access.
