What does audio file format error means

Hi nancy c...
Your player is telling you that you have the wrong format to play songs on it...you will have to change your file formats of your songs to play on your player.
Here are the formats that your player will play:
Audio: MP3, WMA, ACC, FLAC, WAV
Video: AVI (MPEG-4 / XviD)
Photo: JPG, BMP, GIF
Bud.
You can download a free format converter at this webpage:

The instructions are useless, unit does not work according to their instructions. Have downloaded music, synced the unit, still cannot hear music. Tried everything. Can you help.

All songs must be in MP3 or WMA format in order for the player to load any of the songs to play. If songs are in any other format (MP4, ACC) they must be converted to MP3 in order to work. Instructions are on the Intova website how to convert music to MP3 if needed. If the songs that are loaded onto the player are in MP3 format when you press the play button you should see a yellow indicator light meaning the music is playing. If this light does not come on there may be an issue with the player. If this light does come on but you still cant hear any sound then the headphone wires may be damaged. If there is an issue with the player or headphones manufacturer Intova will be happy to help get you back in the water. Please contact Intova at info@intova.net for further assistance. Thank you.

Coby mp3 3002g won't play songs I jus added. It says unknown formated.

Hello

Ok, if the player states that it is a unknown format, it means that the songs which you coppied to the device is not in mp3 format.

Here is how you change it to the right format:
Go to the link and download the free mp3 converter software.

http://www.wma-mp3.com/

Download
All To MP3 Converter 2.1This should help you. Leave a comment if you can't figure it out.

Kind regards

Format error

Take note that if you have reformatted your drive all file inside were lost. Basically mp3 players can play only mp3 format. If the format of your songs inputted to your mp3 player are not the same with the format required to your player nothing should be happen to play.

If the required of your player is mp3 so you need to put only mp3 format. No other format should be played. If your download songs are wma format convert it to mp3 format.

nicole

Shows a certain amount of songs on player but skips songs and doesnt play them, for example plays song number one then goes to song number three.

Hi,

Often this is indicative that the "filing system" and the "table of contents" of the digital media player is being messed up. Technically, this would refer to corrupted files. In most instances, this could be corrected by formatting the player. This of course would mean that a fresh "filing system" and "table of contents" would be written on the device. But then, this also means that all its contents would be erased.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Trying to birn cd it will go through all the steps even fializes but when I play it back it plays back on computer but will not play back on any other cd player

There are two types of music cds. One is still a data disk meaning will be able to add more songs and the songs keep their file names. The other type is compatible for most cd players but once it is made, songs can not be added afterward.

Open up the cd on your computer and look at the songs. If the songs have their original file names then you have used the wrong format. If the songs are lists in tracks (Track 1, Track 2, etc.), then it is the correct format and the problem is the disk or the cd player(s) you tried it on won't accept it.

I have put music on to my laptop then transfered to my acoustic solutions fm6611 mp3 but when i have come to play back no sound coming through it

Make sure that your songs are in the correct format - mp3 format is best. Make sure that the mp3 player is not plugged into the computer. Try playing again. If still nothing, try a different set of headphones. If still no sound, then get player replaced b/c it means the headphone jack is defective.

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.
