I have a 93 honda accord and whenever i start it, it just start shake. when i put it on drive, its like theres no accelaration

check the fuel pressure

there is problem with relay PGMFI is under left leg.

the motor mounts are probably bad. pop the hood and start the engine. Put it in gear and back in park several times. If the engine moves more than an inch or so, the motor mounts are bad

Check the condition of your tires and suspension. this problem is usually caused by bad component or alignment. Special attention is given to camber and caster.

If the engine cranks over but wont start, the Hondas in that year range have a pretty good size relay under the drivers side of the dash, its about 1 1/2" by 2 1/2'
you can replace it or just take the cover off and if you look at the solder contacts very closely you will see one or two that have a crack around them.
just put a couple of drops of solder on them to fix the bad connection and you will be on your way. literally takes about 10 minutes start to finish

possible faulty engine mounts

Make sure you report the problem to the National Highway Transportation Safety agency (www.nhtsa.gov). Also-research the web and you will find hundred similar complaints and a successful class action lawsuit in California against Honda for 1999-2001 Accord transmissions that showed the same malfunction code. The California settlement required Honda to repair transmissions and extend warranties up to 109,000 miles and 93 months.


These Transmissions are hard to FIX...I found very few rebuilders that can pull it off... They were recalled in 2000 ....sorry but it is no easy fix... the ONLY OTHER CLUNKING could be a problem is : your motor mounts are vacuum assisted meaning if you have a vacuum leak they will not stiffen the mounts correctly.... it sound crazy but look underneath you have small 5/16 vacuum lines near the radiator mount and some have it ont he firewall mount... I drive 99 Ex Accord!!!! rebuilt tranny 2 times !!!! make sure you get a warranty if you do...2000-2400 is a good cost....

Either your clutch plate is warped through a lot of work, starting/stopping/then pulling away again, or your thrust bearing is going ( to test for this, take out of gear, listen for a rumble, it may not be evident to the ear, if not then depress the clutch peddle and any rumble will noteicably dissapear).
I would bet it is a warped clutch plate u which will will require removal

they changed the timing belt? if so they put it wrong, its probably off a tooth. take it back and make them recheck their work

pull one of the plugs out leave the plug wire on it and rest it on something metal on the car and have someone try to turn it over.if no spark can be seen try changing your crankshaft sensor
