Question about Digital Cameras

2 Answers

Olympus D-435 Our camera has been working fine until last week when we started getting this error message - memory full on a blue screen when we had taken only one photo (and deleted all previous photos). Thinking there was a problem with the memory card, we removed it and used only the camera's internal memory which worked for a short while - allowing us to take 12 shots - but now it will only let us take 1 shot before giving us the error message. Is there anything I can do? Many thanks

You can try updating the firmware of the camera since this is not a problem with the memory card its with the camera itself you can check Olympus web site for software update on this.

Hope that helps.......

Try formating the storage card on your computers card reader.

ones the card is connected to the computer, open my computer and locate the memory card, right click on it and select format, format the memory card, try fat 12 / 16 / 32, try them all since I don't remember on this second what format the camera uses.

the format can also be done in the camera.

formating is covered in the page 49 of the advanced manual

formating the storage card should fix the problem. you could also try another storage card or take the camera to a local camera shop, Im sure they could offer a storage card for you to test.

It is either a bad memory card or the reader. If it is the reader you'd be looking at a $95-$120 repair

When I transferred those particular pictures to my laptop for some reason they were partially deleted from the camera which gave the 'picture error' message. Deleting that picture completely got rid of the message.

Olympus D-435 digital camera, when you turn it on, error msg says "battery empty" then times out and shuts off. New Batteries have been installed, did not correct the problem. How can I make...

If ur using a memory card try to use a memory card even though it relates the battery it may be a memory card problem....
First take out the memory card and then try to use the camera and if it works fine that says that there is a problem with memory card if not Call 800-622-6372 and get the camera replaced if it is out of warranty

Error message: card cover open..yeah right

Hmmm, I'm thinkin' if there's no memory card in camera, there are NO memories, aka formerly known as photos. Unless there is some sort of an internal memory, but me thinks not. As for error message, might be because....card fell out while an image was being captured.
