Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox 720

Hello,

I have Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox 720 Pocket PC that I've been using over
Christmas. It took a while to get it configured to search the net wirelessly
and it worked for about a month. However, now it doesn't work at all. I have
several tools that I downloaded from the net, which says that WiFi is
working fine. They all find my Access Point and others as well from the
Pocket PC.

The supplied tools are less than intuitive and the documentation for the PPC
are poor.

Can anyone give me pointer as to what I can do to enable web browsing
wirelessly on the PPC?

Thanks

Hi,
I have had a very similar experience to you.
Early on I did a FSC backup and when mine started to play up I did a
restore. This sorted it, but I have found since that the 'soft reset' by
pushing the probe into the reset hole on the base works well. I was a little
scared of doing this at first in case it lost loaded programs and data but
really it is only the equivalent of turning a computer off and back on
again. I have never had to resort to using the 'reset to factory defaults'
yet and then do a restore.

Initially I was always turning on the wireless connection by running E2C and
then running utilities like Wififofum; but I have been told by a friend that
he has had fever problems by turning wireless on by clicking the 'world'
icon at base of the start-up screen, running the wireless utility program
you are interested in, and then when finished, turn wireless off again by
clicking an the 'world' again.

By the way, does anyone know where to get a RS232 lead so that I can connect
my old Garmin GPS?

Unfortunately, I resetted my PPC many times to no avail. The E2C settings
are confusing, does anybody have any further insights?
