Ripped screen

Holy Moly!

Do you by any chance own a bank?

Once the screen is removed there isn't much more inside, so the screen is where most of the cost is concentrated.

I have this suggestion to make, hire a burglar. OR if you have home insurance make a claim for repair. All you would have to do is think of how it could have happened that the insurance would accept as sounding plausible.
1) Granny slipped and put her walking stick through thes screen she was lucky not to break her hip and claim public liability ( so pay up)

2) Tripped on the cord of the standard lamp and it fell into the screen ripping it.

That should give you a start while you save up to buy that bank

There is no chip for the green, Unless he is refering to the convergence Ics as there are two of them and one controls red convergence and half green, and the other controls blue convergence and the remaining green. Those ICs are 20.00 each and take about 30 minutes to replace both. Is your set experiencing a 3D type of picture?

Water behind screen

Did he think the programming stunk or something??? lol sorry. Sometimes the screens or lens is truely what they are are two piece type lens, depending on the make and the age of the set. On two piece screens (or lens) theres an outer type called a linticualar lens and the inside is like a light house lens as its called a freznal type lens. On Some makes and models these come apart BUT also in some makes and models they are a one piece design. as theres an inside ground lens and the other side is another ground lens. But im woundering if yours isent the two piece type that could be taken out and separated and cleaned as why would it suck up into the lens if it wasent??? I would call a specialist and ask them if its a two piece and could be cleaned or is it a one piece. Try calling toshiba first so you know what it is so you dont get ripped off so the repairperson wont pad the bill. Good luck Oh try calling this # first. 800-457-7777
